I'm testing NetBeans 6.0 Beta 2 and I'm positively impressed for the overall quality of the product. I'm especially testing the SOA module, part of OpenESB, as it probably will be the foundation for the next Java CAPS 6 commercial product. The BPEL designer is comparable to JCAPS eInsight: it looks pretty robust but still a bit more difficult to use than eInsight 5.1. For example here you need to fill forms to link a Partner inside the BPEL, while in eInsight it was a drag&drop operation. Even if I like what I've seen so far, I need more serious testing before I can write a review. However my general feeling is that if JCAPS 6 will be derived from Netbeans 6 and OpenESB as they are now then it's quite a brand new product to learn, even if a lot more robust.
